Summer inspired photo session: bikini, dresses and resorts.
For the issue n.60 of INSIDER Asia Magazine my contribution was again inspiring, colourful and came together thanks to a great team effort. At Cafe del Mar Phuket we did a summer inspired photo session with the gorgeous Maria Prikhodko, make up and hair was done by the extremely talented Lisa Allen and we had stunning swimsuits from KAANDA beach life and some inflatables from Sunnylife. The weather on the day of the shooting wasn’t the sunniest but we managed to complete our first set in the pool with Maria wearing a 2 piece bikini sitting on a banana shaped floating mattress. As she was getting some make up touch ups for the second set, the weather suddenly started to get worse, I could see dark clouds fast approaching from far away and I had to get everything ready for the shoot so we could start as soon as Lisa would have been done with the final touches. I was a matter of minutes: once Maria was ready, I had couple of test shots to check the lights settings and managed to nail the photo we wanted right after that and right before an enormous rain storm broke on us! Once the storm had passed, we moved to the other sets with another bikini from Kaanda beach life, next was a set to feature Dalaya’s (Native) Indian feather headpiece and last but not least some after sunset shots of a beautiful dress and accessories (hat and bag) of Dalaya boutique. The day was long and challenging but we managed to check all the boxes we planned to.
Also in this issue are featured the advertising of two Phuket based brands: Lalita designer shoes and Dalaya boutique. For those photos we arranged a day at the Xi-An villa in Nai Yang. This beautiful villa has a a wonderful garden and the interiors are very colourful and full of Chinese imported art pieces. For this session my model of choice was Angelica Chebotar and it was a perfect combination of dress, shoes, model and location that gave us stunning results.
For Darren’s article regarding the eternal dualism and struggle between light and darkness in everyone of us, he arranged with Lisa an incredible make up that would represent such concept. I’m glad that my photos made justice to the idea and the make up.
Last but not least the bi-monthly perk of being the official photographer of INSIDER Asia Magazine brought me to stay in couple of very nice location: The SLATE (former Indigo Pearl) and the newly opened Akyra Beach Club. I had the pleasure to spend a week-end in each place together with the team in order to experience their services and report on them. I know, it’s a hard life and I have a difficult job, but someone has to do it!.
